Alex Griffin was born in Atlanta GA, raised in Decatur GA. is the first son of Alexander Jr. and Erma Griffin.

Spending most of his time outside which helped his imagination expand, from making worlds out of the clouds to raging furious battles against imaginary foes with his only sibling Sherard Griffin by his side, his creativity evolved into many different genres of storytelling.

During many hot summers spent in Tifton GA with his paternal grandparents, where the temperatures would skyrocket and the thunderstorms would roll in by the evenings, his love for reading had taken root. Tending to his grandmothers demands of staying still “so God can do his work”, reading had become an important part of his stay in the deep south.
