My name is Candice Watson and my pseudonym is Candylickherr. I chose that name because it defines and describes a part of me. The name stands out from the rest just like my books.

I'm 41 years old. I am a full-time homemaker for my autistic son. I am proud to be part of the LGBT community. I live with my wife and our two sons in Ferguson, Missouri. 

My background is the financial and medical industry. I have a Specialized Associate’s Degree in Medical Administrative Assistant.  I worked in the medical field for many years. I changed careers and worked in the mortgage and financial industry. I worked as a Mortgage Supervisor for a bank for several years before resigning.

I wanted to be an author since I was a kid. I loved reading books. I spent my summers engrossed in books. My favorite authors are Omar Tyree, Eric Jerome Dickey, E. Lynn Harris, Mary Monroe, Stephen King and host of others.  However, life happened and I chose a different career path. I would say I’m a late bloomer to writing. I have no formal training or a degree. I never gave up on my dream. I loved telling stories in my head. My imagination supersedes many. I decided to start putting those characters to life. 

I love writing about different relationships. My focus is on telling stories about all walks of life and relationships with a twist. Also, making stories about how people choose to live their lives. My goal is to bring exposure to these wonderful situations. I expose the real, fake, and confused through my characters. We live in a world where judgment is passed all the time. However, how someone chooses to live their life should never be a prerequisite for acceptance.
